Convention Trading Hall Policy

The LCCA Annual Convention each year hosts the popular Trading Hall on Friday Evening and continuing through Saturday afternoon. Friday evening and the first hour on Convention Saturday are open exclusively to REGISGTERED ATTENDEES with Convention Badges. starting the second hour on Saturday, the hall is open to ALL including the public and LCCA members present who did not register for the convention. more

Anatomy of an LCCA Convention

The annual LCCA convention has been a favorite time of fun and fellowship for many of our members. Held during one of the last two weeks of July per our Constitution, the convention changes cities each year, moving around the US to visit and explore all areas of our country, focusing where available on current train excursions that exist in that locale. more

Jerry Dangelo, Charter Member 67 and Unofficial Club Historian kindly provided The Lion Roars with a complete list of the 50 club conventions held since 1972. His list is reproduced here and includes all of the cities where the gatherings were held including the two cancelled due to the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021. more

Recap of the LCCA 2023 Annual Convention in Concord

The LCCA 53rd Annual Convention was held in Concord, North Carolina, the home of Lionel. Over 400 members (800 in total) attended. Lionel assisted in the planning. The joint efforts of Lionel and the LCCA resulted in a Great convention. This recap of this wonderful week gives a great summary of one of the BEST LCCA CONVENTIONS YET! more

LIONEL COLLECTORS CLUB CONVENTION DIETARY POLICY

The LCCA has released its Convention Dietary Policy for the 2025 Scranton and all future LCCA conventions. The LCCA wants every attendee to have the best possible experience, but it cannot provide nor guarantee the unique dietary needs of individual attendees on tours. The LCCA will work with the hotel staff and attendees requiring special meal selections at ticketed events. more
