John Fisher - LCCA Member DM 6541 - passed away August 3, 2023. John held many elected offices between 1998 and 2011, including club President 2001-2003. The impact of his long years of service to the Club are still felt today. Many People first got involved with the LCCA thanks to John Fisher. more

Angela Trotta Thomas 50th Anniversary LCCA Painting Raffle

The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) is starting a year-long celebration commemorating our 50th Anniversary year. As part of this celebration, the LCCA has commissioned Lionel Licensed artist Angela Trotta Thomas to create an original painting entitled “LCCA 45 Years of Fun!” that will be raffled off during the LCCA 50th Annual Convention banquet in Omaha NE on Saturday evening July 25, 2020. This 18x24 oil on canvas painting is signed by Angela. more

LCCA receives Donation for Support of Junior Member and Children's Program

The LCCA recently received an unsolicited donation of $1,000 from a Charitable Trust based in Georgia to support club-sponsored Special Events focused on kids. The Coker Creek Trust (CCT) once again recognizes the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) for its charitable work in our nation’s communities. more

New Members in the LCCA Leadership team!

During the last 3 months, two of our LCCA elected directors resigned their position due to unforeseen health issues. In both cases, as President, I offered LCCA members to fill the remaining terms of office and with the Board of Directors approval, made 2 new Director appointments. more

LCCA experiences Dues Increase - First in 6 Years!

As you know, these past months have been a tough time for our economy with rising inflation and the expenses related thereto. The LCCA has not been immune to these increases. In June of this year, I formed a committee consisting of myself, Past President Harry Hampson, President-Elect Mark Kempfer, and our Treasurer Don MacCormack, to review the club’s expenditures and our overall financial condition. What we found is all of our vendors have increased the cost of their services to the club. more
