• December 7, 14 & 21, 2024 - LCCA at the Holiday Train Displays, PA
There will be two great toy train displays for LCCA members in December.
Throughout December two amazing toy train displays are available for attendance by LCCA members. The displays are held in Elizabethtown PA, one at the public library at 10 S. Market St, the other on the campus of the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. The display at the library is set up only for December showings. There are three main areas. In the hallway approaching the main display is a large display of circus trains and amusements. Once in the main display room there is a table 65 ft. long by 18 ft. running O gauge trains. We will be running trains from the very early days of the 1900 right up to the most current items and everything in between. There are 50 push buttons around the edge of the display which visitors can use to start trains and operate accessories. Lastly there is a floor display of G gauge trains. All together we can run up to 20 trains at one time.
The Masonic Village train club is housed in a dedicated building and is up on a permanent basis. The following layouts are available for viewing: very large hi-rail O gauge running long trains and featuring a two rail over head powered trolley line as well, 2 professional quality HO layouts, Z scale, N scale, G scale, S scale and standard gauge. The club layouts were one of the most popular display visits during the recent TCA Nat. convention in Lancaster this past summer. Signs at the main campus entrance give clear directions to the club building.
Both locations are open on the first three Saturdays of December with a free shuttle bus running between the two on the half hour. Displays open at 10 am and close at 4. Both displays request donations for admittance with the donations at the library going to fund that institution. Best parking is at the Masonic Village, but there is parking in the rear of the library as well. The library also has additional open times which can be seen on the library web site. These displays are an great time for LCCA members and their families to see two outstanding toy train operations.
Their attendance is welcomed. Questions, call Craig: 717-201-3927.
