December 2,9 & 16, 2023 Holiday Train Display, Elizabethtown, PA
During December, the Elizabethtown Public Library Train Guys and the Masonic Village Model RR club, hold Christmas open houses, both in Elizabethtown, PA. Both groups are showing very large train layouts for LCCA members to enjoy.
The prime visitation times are the first three Saturdays in December, 2,9,and 16. Both displays are open from 10 until 4 and a free shuttle runs between the two.
The library is at 10 S. Market St. in Elizabethtown PA and the RR club is on the grounds of the Masonic Village. The contact December 2, 9 & 16 2023 from 10am to 4pm is Craig Coble, 717-201-3927.
The Village club is housed in a dedicated building and shows 7 different layouts, including a large O gauge 3 rail layout with a 2 rail trolley system running on trolley wire, standard, S, HO, N , Z and overhead G. The library display is built in October and Nov. and shown in December. There are additional open times for this display, shown on the library web site.
This display includes a 65x18 foot O gauge display with 50 push buttons which visitors can use to activate trains and accessories. It runs trains up to 100 years old along with contemporary trains, up to 20 at one time and features items that will please kids and serious collectors alike. There is also a large G scale floor display and a hallway display featuring circus and amusement park items.
