2022 LCCA Convention Registration Gift
The LCCA Announces its 2022 Nashville registration car - A covered coil car decorated in RJ Corman livery. In keeping with the LCCA Convention tradition, the first 400 members who register for the convention and stay at the host hotel (Sheraton Music City) will receive this car.
This Lionel Produced car starts out as a red gondola - then add two coil covers in gray and red - add RJ Corman Hearld and top it all with silver sprung trucks. The car is clearly marked with a circle enclosing "22", to signify that it is the 22nd convention registration gift offered by the club. Ironically it is being offered in 2022. This car has a Lionel SKU number of 2201230. the last five digits of this number appear on the car (01230). Both the car and the coil covers proudly carry the RJ Corman Logo. This car is only being offered as a registration gift, and when they are gone, will not be reproduced.
RJ Corman offices are north of Nashville and RJ Corman railroad group provides trackage rights for our Convention trip aboard the Tennessee Central Railroad Museum. Be on the lookout for other RJ Corman cars at this convention.
This is the third RJ Corman car issued by the LCCA, the first two were introduced during the 2001 convention. "The club offered two essentially identical red boxcars as the Convention On-site Cars for this Convention. Both are decorated for the RJ Corman Railroad, an actual railroad based in Bardstown, KY. Car #1 was numbered as 4001 and was offered for sale at the gift shop of one of the tour venues – My Old Kentucky Home Dinner Train; however, some of these cars were delivered to the host hotel site and purchased by members. Fewer Cars #1 were produced, so it is the rarer item. Car #2 was numbered as 4002 and was offered for sale at the Convention site in downtown Lexington. Both of the 2001 RJ Corman cars were issued with the same Corman red and are shown below.
