August 22-23 - LCCA & CTTG Auction in Westminster, CO
This 2-day auction includes over 690 lots of vintage, postwar, and modern O Gauge trains. Manufacturers featured are: Lionel, Mike’s Train House, Atlas, American Flyer, K-Line, Weaver, Marx, AMT, Plasticville, and numerous specialty companies. Over half of the items include the original boxes (OBs). While the emphasis is on freight rolling stock, there are over 40 lots of attractive passenger outfits. Over 140 steam and diesel locomotives offer a broad choice of motive power. Featured postwar steamers include the 1964-65 version 773 Hudson e 736W tender and a 746 N&W Streamlined J Northern with its 746W tender. There is a beautiful 736 Berkshire with 2046W tender in the OBs. There are some complete sets available as well, of which the most impressive is the 1800 General Set with all OBs and the set box, in near mint condition. If you are looking for accessories, there are over 70 lots of trackside action items, including a 264 Operating Forklift Set and a 345 Culvert Unloader, both in sealed OBs. If you are looking for power, there are 6 lots with a ZW, two of which are 275 watt models, in the OB. There are numerous lots of track and switches with MTH RealTrax and Lionel FasTrack broadly represented. For those who are ready for scenery, there are over 30 lots of a complete ceramic village and various assortments of trees, citizens, and vehicles. If you just want to read up on train activity or appraise the value of your collection, there are over 30 lots of books, catalogs, and price guides. Clearly, this is an exciting collection of model railroading merchandise.
