LCCA Has Very Successful WHOT Show In San Mateo CA (Recap)
The Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) had a very successful World's Greatest Hobby on Tour (WGHOT) show in San Mateo, CA on March 2 & 3. We were very successful in introducing the club and the magic of Lionel trains to thousands of visitors. The LCCA's mini-layout attracted a huge crowd all weekend long. The LCCA/Lionel FasTrack Modular Railroad was set up in a trapezoid shaped configuration and generated a lot of interest. LCCA's Roger Farkash and his wife Dorcie aka "Traindame" did a great job greeting members and guests living in the northern California region. Thank you to all of the members who stopped by the booth and talked trains. We hope you enjoyed the visit. Welcome to all of the new members who joined our club. I invite you to get involved and take an active role in the club.
Everyone has at least one good story to write and share with fellow members in one of our club publications or website. If you have an article, please send to me at agkolis@comcast.net or TLR editor Mike Mottler at mottlerm@conwaycorp.net.
Stay tuned to our website www.lionelcollectors.org for announcements about future LCCA Special Events in the California area. We plan to be back!
