LCCA to Honor Past and Present Lionel Presidents at Dinner Event
On Saturday evening, February 26, 2011, the Lionel Collectors Club of America will host a buffet dinner exclusively for club members and their families at the
New Jersey Hi-Railers Club in Paterson, NJ. Nonmembers can
join the club online now or join the club at the door on the evening of the event and pay the admission fee.
This fun-filled evening will feature many special guest appearances and numerous surprises. LCCA will honor Jerry Calabrese, the current president and CEO of Lionel, with an award for his leadership of the company and as an industry leader. Former owner, president, and CEO of Lionel Trains Inc., Dick Kughn, will also attend, along with other guests with roots in the toy train industry.
Meet and “talk trains” with Dick and Linda Kughn. See the Lionel layouts featured in the season-ending “Blue Comet” episode of HBO’s award-winning cable TV series, “The Sopranos.” Bring a friend and introduce him or her to the LCCA and learn about member benefits for hobbyists.
Bring your TMCC-equipped locomotives and run them on the spectacular New Jersey Hi-Railers O-gauge layout. Live entertainment will be presented by a noted LCCA member, author, and magician. Great food, drink, door prizes, camaraderie, and Lionel trains will be a winning formula for a great evening of fun and friendship.
Seating is limited. Don’t delay—sign up today! The cost of admission to this LCCA event will be $30 per LCCA member and $30 for each family member aged 12 or older. Children under the age of 12 years will be admitted free.
If you attend from out of town, take advantage of a reduced rate at the
Courtyard by Marriott in Paramus, NJ. Mention the LCCA when you make reservations at 800-321-2211. King size single occupancy room rate is $79/night; double twin bed room is $89/night.
Make it a weekend getaway! This event coincides with the
WGHOT show in
Edison, NJ, so it could be a memory-making weekend with trains. We hope to see you there!
