December 18, 2016 - LCCA Joins NJ Hi-Railers in Paterson, NJ - (Recap)
The NJ Hi-Railers are a Lionel Ambassador Club. The December open house is always well attended and this was no exception. We all know that a layout is never completed and every time I visit this massive185 foot layout, there's always something new. New features on the layout included a rebuilt subway yard, a rebuilt coal mine, a new 32 inch turn table, and more. Still under construction is a replica of the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Santa arrived at noon to music played on a new three-manual theater organ just installed. In addition to the large layout the display includes the Tom Snyder Standard gauge layout and several smaller layouts that kids can operate. And of course there's a variety of great food prepared by Chef Vinnie. Due the popularity of the NJ High-Railers' layouts, we will be planning another event there in March of 2017. If you're in the area, don't miss an opportunity to see this amazing layout and meet with other Lionel train aficionados.
