September 27, 2014 - LCCA Second Annual Lionel Day in Chicago, IL (recap)
Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) Members who attended Chicagoland’s Second Annual Lionel Day on September 27, 2014 had an opportunity to meet and have fun running Lionel trains on Chicagoland’s impressive layout with fellow club members Herb Koch (President of ChicagoLand) and LCCA club President Dennis DeVito. Guests came as far as Milwaukee (Lionel Railroad Club of Milwaukee) and St. Louis (Lionel Railroad Club of St. Louis) to celebrate this day. Members were treated to demonstrations of Lionel’s new LCS control system and the new LionChief & LionChief Plus starter sets. The Chicagoland Railroaders Club celebrated the paying off of the mortgage on their building by having a flaming ceremony. It was a fun day had by all!
