Junior Member News from Dom’s Desk
It has been an exciting couple of months serving as your chairman. I had the pleasure of attending my first LCCA Board of Directors meeting in September, and I gave a short presentation about my plans for the Junior Member program. Board members are excited about the initiatives as well as the possibility of taking this club to heights we’ve never seen before.
More than ever, today’s culture has revolved around networking, and it makes sense that a large portion of it is being created using the Internet. Social networking has taken our culture by storm. I believe the LCCA, especially its Junior Members, should be involved in this ever-growing process. The purpose of this page is to stay in contact with friends, family, and co-workers. JMs should always consider whom they accept as an online friend and be careful about the information they post on their page and on the “walls” of others. Posted information is available to anyone with access to the Internet.
My attention has also been focused on coming up with both interactive and fun activities for the upcoming LCCA 2010 Convention in Denver. I’m working closely with the board and the Convention Team to help make Denver a great Convention for JMs and all club members.
