Personal experience of Junior Mmeber at an LCCA Event
LCCA Special Events present the opportunity to go places and to see things you wouldn't normally see. This past weekend June 1, 2013, there was a LCCA Special Event (SE) near Buffalo, NY at the home of Lou and Roseanna Merzacco. My father and I decided to do a road trip out to Buffalo and attend this SE. This was a fun experience. The event was a huge success. Over 65 people came from all over to be there. Everyone enjoyed the barbecue lunch that we had served outside underneath the backyard tents. There were many raffle door prizes. People were really excited when they won a LCCA Limited edition product. Everyone who attended received a LCCA Special Event Pin and un-cut sheet of LCCA Billboards.
We then got to tour two amazing layouts at the homes of Lou Merzacco and neighbor Lou Scozzafava. Their layouts had so much detail it was hard to believe. The day was very fun and enjoyable for everyone, both kids and adults alike. Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. Duncan (Age 10) and Anthony (Age 8) Di Carlo were designated the honorary engineers for the day. They ran the trains on the Merzacco layout by using the Lionel TMC Legacy hand held controller.
This is yet another great LCCA experience that I will continue to remember. I encourage you to make memories of your own by coming out and participating in a future LCCA special event.
I hope to see all of you in Chattanooga TN at the LCCA’s 43rd Annual Convention to be held July 14-20, 2013. There will be a lot of fun things to do at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel.
