The concept behind the Lionel Collectors Club of America is simple and wonderful. Members of this
train collector's society share a common interest in Lionel®, the more than 100-year-old American icon, and enjoy the model trains they produce. Members have a special opportunity to share information, make new friends, attend model train events and buy, sell, and swap toy
collector trains. The cost of LCCA membership is less than an annual subscription to a national train hobby magazine.
Publications
Members receive six outstanding train hobby publications and participate in the club's model train events, activities and programs.
An award-winning, four-color publication devoted to the many and varied aspects of Lionel products, old and new. It is mailed five times per year.
This publication revolutionized buying and selling model trains, and it has become the most authoritative, continuously updated price guide available. The Interchange Track is published four times per year.
LCCA was the first train club to implement a fully integrated, online capability to buy-sell-swap toy trains. This service is based on our easy-to-use printed newsletter, Interchange Track, and provides 24/7 access to the LCCA marketplace for Lionel trains and train-related items.
The LCCA Web Site is like a "publication" in that it is an online information resource for those who have access to the Internet. Through the Members Only area, members have the ability to transact club business. In addition, the website is a source of fundamental club documents: its constitution and bylaws, past conventions, and news and information. A recent addition is the digital archives, an extensive collection of Lionel documents and catalogs.

- LCCA Historical Model Train Archive
An online resource with useful information about the club, the hobby, collecting, and operating trains. Included on the website is our extensive library of digital publications. Through the courtesy of Lionel and a business relationship with John Holtmann’s HSL, Inc. (HSL), the LCCA offers the complete O gauge work first offered by HSL including the complete digital history of Lionel catalogs from 1905-1995, Lionel produced magazines including The Lionel Magazine, Model Builder and Inside Track as well as other Lionel publications and advertising. Also featured in our digital library are current and past editions of LCCA club publications including The Lion Roars and Interchange Track and the latest editions of Lionel catalogs. Recently added is a library of early American Flyer and Ives trains, magazines and company history. The LCCA digital library is the place to research and catalog Lionel and its products! LCCA Annual Convention
There's no better experience in Lionel oriented model railroading than sharing your hobby interests. LCCA Conventions have been recognized as the most fun and best model train events. New and long-time members of our train collector's society meet at family-oriented annual reunions to celebrate the special joy and magic of Lionel trains. During the past seven years, we visited Dallas, Norfolk, Chattanooga, Indianapolis, Boston, Kansas City, and Chicago. Our 2019 Convention destination is Reno, NV. Only LCCA members and their families may attend these annual conventions packed with train events such as train excursions, exciting historical and educational tours, a Get Acquainted Party, a seminar about new Lionel products presented by the senior staff from Lionel, an annual meeting where members and LCCA officers interact in an informal setting, a large Trading Hall where members can buy-sell-trade Lionel products, and a closing banquet with sumptuous fare and commemorative gifts for all.

The LCCA 2020 Convention Car is really a set of two cars, A UP covered gondola and a UP work caboose with operating welder. These car celebrate the 2020 convention which was to be held in Omaha Nebraska (cancelled due to Covid-19) to celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary. Each year the club prepares a
limited-edition Lionel Convention Car related to the Convention locale, and special on-site cars for attendees only. From time to time, the club presents special collectibles that represent significant value for MEMBERS ONLY! Club members also have the exclusive opportunity to purchase selected items from the LCCA store at very attractive prices.
