Chattanooga, Here I Come! - A Junior Member comments
My name is Elizabeth Eberley of Lake Mary Florida. I'm looking forward to going to the LCCA train convention this year in Chattanooga, TN. My Grandma and Papa tell me it's in the middle of July, the 14th through the 20th. I can't wait. If you haven't been to an LCCA train convention, you really should go. It's absolutely fantastic. I can tell you that, because I went to my first one last year in Norfolk, VA. I had so much fun, met new friends, went on tours, bid in an auction, and went on a cool train ride. I know I will learn even more about Lionel trains and see famous sites in Tennessee and Georgia. When I found out about the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel, I made it a goal to swim in all three swimming pools. It's cool that one is actually inside, so there's swimming no matter what the weather. There will be lots of train rides and other fun activities this year too. I am so excited to catch up with some of the friends that I made last year and I love spending time with my Grandma and Papa. My Papa, Bob Eberley, is a huge Lionel train collector and operator. He has tons of trains. He's actually the one that helped me start my own train collection, and every Christmas he adds to it. Cool, right?
I am looking forward to meeting more nice people at this convention. Last year I had so much fun, and I've hardly told you about all there is to do. I think I am going to have even more fun this year. I hope to see you there!
