Meet Charter Member #1 Jim Gates (part 1)

As part of the Lionel Collectors Club of America’s 40th anniversary year celebration, we met with club founder and Charter Member #1, Jim Gates of Perry, IA. Watch an interview with Jim. Learn about the early formative days of the club and Jim’s first (failed) attempt to form a club dedicated to Lionel trains. Later (thankfully), he succeeded in creating what is now known as the LCCA with a group of 83 Charter Members.
