LCCA Announces Post Reno Convention Tour!

Experience the excitement and history of the spectacular Sierra Nevada Region on this 4-day / 3-night extended fully guided tour.  Yosemite National Park is considered by many to be the “Must See” of the National Park System and is surely not to be missed.  The majestic Sierra Mountains to the west will be your constant companion.  You will enter the park through the east entrance where alpine lakes and high mountain vistas abound and wind your way to the western portal of Yosemite Valley.  Great monoliths of stone, clear blue streams and spectacular waterfalls will take your breath away.

Jamestown is in the heart of the historic California Gold Rush countryside. The California State Railroad Museum is the top of its class for history and exhibits. And of course, a place your heart will call home, San Francisco.  Spectacular views, great activities, and unbelievable cuisine are all complemented by the history and beat of this vibrant city. 

 

Then the final treat, a full day journey on the California Zephyr through the most beautiful 200 miles of track in the world.  The scenery will glide by as this world-famous train makes its way along San Francisco Bay, through the Central Valley and up the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  The scenery will overwhelm you as you make your way through numerous tunnels, trestles & vistas.  End this adventure in style back in Reno while you reflect on your adventure.

 

Day #1 - Sunday

  •          Depart Reno for Yosemite via deluxe motor coach
  •          Narrated tour of Lee Vining, Topaz Lake, Walker River Valley and the Sawtooth Mountains
  •          Yosemite National Park, admission, fees included
  •          Deluxe hotel accommodations - Jamestown, CA

 

Day #2 - Monday

  •          Motor coach transportation to Sacramento, on to San Francisco
  •          Light breakfast
  •          California State Railroad Museum
  •          Guided tour to San Francisco

o        Explore Fisherman’s Wharf (4.5-hours) 

o        Suggested activities:  ride a cable car, shop on Pier 39, visit the Maritime Museum, take a scenic Bay Cruise, possible tour to Alcatraz

  •          Tour SF Embarcadero and across the Bay Bridge (Golden Gate)
  •          Deluxe hotel accommodations - Emeryville, CA

 

Day #3 - Tuesday

  •          Light breakfast
  •          California Zephyr to Reno through Sierra Nevada Mountains
  •          Evening at leisure in Reno
